Give Thanks...
So I wanted to share a few things I am thankful for and some of the blessings God has given to me.
A Loving Family
Wonderful Friends, new and old
Another year of life
A good job
Laughter
A new home
A new comfortable bed (I really enjoy sleep)
Use this Thanksgiving holiday as an opportunity to thank those you love for being a part of your life. Live each day as if it were your last and have purpose.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Pepto-Bismol on Wheels
I was driving the other day and spotted a PINK PT CRUISER. Now I am a girly girl who enjoys the color pink... to an extent. Seriously Lady a pink car? And this wasn't a Mary Kay vehicle either. That is an example of dedication to the color pink. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap a picture.
Love and Marriage... Sharing is Caring.
Today marks a year celebrating the marriage of my little buddy Steph to her husband Casey. I was lucky enough to be a part of their special day. Happy Anniversary Steph and Casey. I love you guys and am proud of how you've both grown through this past year. Unfortunately, her pal Pickle seems to be the exact same as she was last year. Still single, broke and strange.

I Have Found My Calling
So I am really enjoying this blogging activity. I never really thought I would like it as much as I have in the past 2 weeks. I enjoy sharing all my random pent up thoughts in my head. My friends and family were becoming immune to it. I was browsing through my iPhoto gallery and realized I have tons of random photos, I just never had an avenue to share them with others and have them appreciate and celebrate how random my mind really is. So just wanted to post a couple of pics and say thank you blogspot, thank you.

Turkey Dinner is Coming Right Up... Actually, Up on the Left.
So I have been complaining all week that it's not even Thanksgiving yet and Christmas is all around us, Christmas Trees, Decorations, Christmas Blend Coffee, Commericials, etc. Well until today, I was driving to my parent's house today when along came a truck full of live Turkey's. I glanced over to the creepy drivers of the truck and wanted to screem, "Save the Turkeys"! But couldn't allow myself to catch their gwaking eyes. Instead, I was able to capture a picture when driving a safe 65 MPH all while contemplating popping in Frank Sinatra's Christmas carols CD and skip the feast of Thanksgiving this year.

No Folks this isn't Halloween... or Cinco De Mayo... Its Orange County.
So I was in the drive thru at the local Starbucks waiting for my Grande Coffee with half and half when this Senor (click on picture to see larger image of man) came out of no where... Please note the rolled up dairy cow hide strapped on his back and that is in fact a real sombrero atop his head. I couldn't resist snapping a picture of him. I felt as if I had taken a step out of Orange County and onto the Ranch down south in New Mexico all in the persuit of a cup of coffee. At least I got to witness the actual Juan Valdez... with a sachel full of coffee beans trying to sell them to Starbucks.

Tis the Season for... RATS??
So I was watching reruns of The Office on TBS. And I don't normally watch anything live (thanks to my friend Tivo) but I love The Office so I guess it was worth it to sit through the commercials. Well it seems that no one seems to care about Thanksgiving because everyother commercial was a Christmas Commercial, Ross Dress for Less, Sears, Macy's and Lowes to name a few. What the heck?? Then the other commercials were about killing rats or mice. Mouse traps that you don't have to actually touch the dead mouse, rat poison packages, and rat snacks that will take them to their demise. So apparently its already Christmas and its Rat and Mouse Season. It just so happened to also be the day that my new favorite Pixar movie came out on DVD and there was also a commercial for that. Does anyone else find this disturbing?

I've Always Been More of a Kitty Type Girl...
So my BFF Stephanie http://stepholsen.blogspot.com/ has a Pug L.T. (named after the Chargers, LaDainian Tomlinson). He's the pug son of Harry and Diamond (Let's just say Pug Celebrities in the Pug Show world) not relevant to you but aparently that's a huge deal to some of the folks we met at this weekend's Jack Bradshaw Dog Show that we attended. It was L.T.'s first show. So I was there with Steph and her Mom JAN to support our little competitious pug.
First I need back up about 20 something years when as a child I was the victim of some very malicious dog behavior. One of which took me off my bike and bit my leg and another bit my face after a gentle tug to the tail. So that's just a couple of the dog stories that have made me deeply scarred by dogs and honestly haven't been the same since or much of a fan of dogs. There are really only 2 dogs I have been able to be around and not be nervous. L.T. is one of them (Jenn, Oskar is the other).
Back to the story... So here we are at the dog show surrounded by DOGS.... Little dogs, Big dogs, Fluffy Dogs, Dogs that should be called horses, you get the point. So I begin to shift my focus away from the dogs onto the type of folks with the dogs. I kind of felt left out. I was there wearing my premium denim and a t-shirt that says I Heart Cheeseburger (and instead of the word cheeseburger, there is a picture of one). So I was sad and wished I had on some sort of sweatshirt, t-shirt or sweater with a pug on it to support L.T. with a little more enthusiasm than what I had on.
Its like showing up to a USC game wearing nothing of the Trojans cardinal or gold. Also my favorite was the handlers. They are the ones that prounce around with the dogs when showing. Again little disappointed that this show took place just 4 days after Halloween because that would've been the best costume ever... Mismatched suit with very dark nylons, socks and sneakers... I don't normally use that word sneaker but it works with them.
Needless to say, L.T. takes after his pug rents and won first place in his puppy class. I am such a proud Godpug Mother but will most likely not be attending another dog show.

What have I done?
So today is the day I caved in and created a blog. I am just a person with many thoughts and opinions some of which are useful to others, then there are some that may be of amusement to others and then there might be some that no one cares about. Oh well... HERE I AM blogspot, this shall be a rewarding relationship.
